I became involved with Flashes of Hope last year, when my good friend and fellow co-director, Kim Wharton, asked for assistance with a fundraising event for the Denver Chapter. I was more than happy to help. I love kids and I enjoy fundraising. In my opinion, there is no better way to spend your time than with good friends and family; raising money and awareness for others in need. Shortly after my involvement with Flashes of Hope, my dear sister-in-law, Amber, was diagnosed with breast cancer. And just this year her daughter and my beautiful little 5 year old niece was diagnosed with cancer as well. They are both doing amazingly well. Their strength, courage and humor truly inspire me. Needless to say, I am more committed than ever to helping bring hope and joy into families lives who are fighting cancer. I hope you join the fight with us!
