Children with cancer are smiling today at a Flashes of Hope shoots. Our dedicated volunteer chapter directors coordinate photo shoots within the nation's top hospitals and at special events for children with cancer. Whether photographing one child isolated in a bone marrow unit or a hundred kids having fun at summer camp, it's an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Dustin Perry began his career as an attorney with Hall Estill in 2012. He then discovered a passion for charitable work after seeing his firm's dedication to various charitable organizations in Tulsa. When Krista discovered there was not a Flashes of Hope here in Oklahoma, Dustin was immediately on board and wanted to aid in bringing this great organization to Tulsa. In his professional capacity, Dustin represents clients in numerous oil and gas bankruptcies and complex litigation cases throughout the United States. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Oklahoma Super Lawyers.
Krista Perry first discovered Flashes of Hope while volunteering her time doing hair and makeup at the Orlando chapter's photo shoots. When she moved to Tulsa, she reached out to Flashes of Hope for volunteer opportunities in her area. She stated a new chapter in Tulsa and was named Chapter Director.
Krista, a licensed makeup artist, hair stylist, blogger, and owner of Tulsa Bridal Beauty is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE - 484). She is currently living in the Midwest and working throughout the United States. Krista has gained an extensive list of celebrity clients throughout her commercial, film, TV, and editorial work.
The children often request to be photographed with special friends – in this case a stuffed bunny. Children are also photographed with parents, siblings, hospital staff and even fellow patients. This sweet image was captured at All Children's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
