"Flashes of Hope" on Denver's NBC affiliate

KUSA - For many families this is the time of the year when they gather for a family photograph. The Christmas card photograph is tradition for many of us. It can also be a difficult task to accomplish.

So many times we struggle to get schedules together and everyone smiling in the photograph. Imagine how difficult this type of thing is for families who are spending their lives at a hospital.

Flashes of Hope is a non-profit group that creates free portraits of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Award winning photographers bring their studio to the hospital to create these portraits.

Flashes of Hope has 7 chapters around the country, including one in Denver. In the past several months, more than 60 children and their families have been photographed at The Childrens Hospital in Denver.
