Cleveland Cavaliers and Flashes of Hope Host “Big Shots & Little Stars” Fundraiser

CLEVELAND, OH - October 26, 2011 - The red carpet was rolled out, the stage was set and the fashion was fresh tonight at Quicken Loans Arena as the Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the 3rd Annual Big Shots & Little Stars fundraiser to benefit Flashes of Hope and the Children's Tumor Foundation. Dressed to the nines, nothing was more breathtaking than the genuine excitement of both the Big Shots Majority Owner and Chairman Dan Gilbert, Cavs coaches, Lake Erie Monsters and Cleveland Browns players and prominent Cleveland CEOs and the Little Stars local children who have been affected by pediatric cancer as they strutted their stuff on the runway. This event was bigger and better than ever, said Flashes of Hope founder Allison Clarke. Cleveland's support from the sports teams to the boardrooms is something that not only means the world to our organization, but to each and every one of those kids on the runway tonight.†Along with Dan Gilbert, Big Shots for the evening included Vice Chairmen Jeff Cohen and Nate Forbes, General Manager Chris Grant, Cavs Head Coach Byron Scott, assistant coaches Paul Pressey, Jamahl Mosley and Joe Prunty, Monsters players Patrick Bordeleau, Cameron Gaunce, Greg Mauldin and Ryan Stoa, Monsters Head Coach David Quinn, Director of AHL Operations/Assistant Coach David Oliver, Cleveland Browns players Josh Cribbs, Joe Haden and Seneca Wallace and Browns legend Bernie Kosar. Former Grand Slam tennis champion Mary Joe Fernandez was also in attendance. All the models wore the latest fashions from many well-known fashion boutiques like Alberts, Anthropologie, Brigade, Children's Place, Juicy Lucy, Kilgore Trout, Lisa Moran, Nicky Nicole and Tom James. Olivier Sedra, most commonly known as the public address announcer at Quicken Loans Arena for Cavalier games, emceed the evening's event, which featured cocktails, fabulous food, a silent auction and pre-show entertainment by the Scream Team and the Cavalier Girls. The Big Shots and Little Treasures silent auction included autographed sports memorabilia and unique experience packages offered by the Cavaliers, Monsters, Horseshoe Casino, Kahalari Resorts, John Roberts Spa and many more. John Roberts also provided hair and makeup services to all Big Shots and Little Stars for the evening. More than 1000 guests attended the memorable occasion.
