Motorcyclists join to support children with cancer

September 12, 2015  |  Posted by WNYT Staff

Hundreds of motorcyclists will gather for the "We Care Ride", a fundraiser for Flashes of Hope. Flashes of Hope is a charity that's dedicated to making children feel special during their fight against cancer, through photographs. Dino Petrocelli is the charity organizer of the "We Care Ride" and works as a photographer with Flashes of Hope.

Petrocelli is working with the Director of the Albany Chapter of Flashes of Hope, Joe Angermeier, to make this fundraiser special.

Petrocelli discuses his inspiration for the fundraiser and his past with helping people in the community who suffer from a variety of illnesses. Although childhood cancer is the focus of this event, Petrocelli says he has always "spread the money to whoever needs it."

Check in for the "We Care Ride" will be on September 13th at 9:30 at the Altamont Fairgrounds. For more information on the event, including a rain location, go to facebook.com and search "We Care Ride."
