Children with cancer are smiling today at a Flashes of Hope shoots. Our dedicated volunteer chapter directors coordinate photo shoots within the nation's top hospitals and at special events for children with cancer. Whether photographing one child isolated in a bone marrow unit or a hundred kids having fun at summer camp, it's an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Mark Bealer and Vickie Daniels were named Directors of the Cincinnati Chapter in 2012. They are the co-owners of Studio 66 LLC, a wedding and studio photography business. With twenty years of photography experience, Mark and Vickie have been volunteering at Flashes of Hope shoots since 2008.

Helen Adams

Helen Adams has been a professional photographer since 1985. She specializes in portraits of children of all ages and the families they live with. She also works in editorial, event, fine art and architectural photography. Fueled by an endless curiosity about people and a desire to connect with her subjects, Helen is especially passionate about portrait photography and strives to create a natural portrait that truly reflects the individual. She is inspired by light and the stories behind her subjects. A native to Cincinnati she is married to her high school crush and has two children.

The children often request to be photographed with special friends – in this case a stuffed bunny. Children are also photographed with parents, siblings, hospital staff and even fellow patients. This sweet image was captured at All Children's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
