Children with cancer are smiling today at a Flashes of Hope shoots. Our dedicated volunteer chapter directors coordinate photo shoots within the nation's top hospitals and at special events for children with cancer. Whether photographing one child isolated in a bone marrow unit or a hundred kids having fun at summer camp, it's an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Jodie Gregory

Jodie Gregory

Jodie, originally from New England, heard about Flashes of Hope from Laura Mower who wanted to bring the program to New Hampshire. Because Laura always thinks BIG, she also wanted to bring the program to Maine and Vermont and the Northern New England Chapter was born. In 2012 Jodie became co-director with Laura covering the territory of Maine with Camp Sunshine and Scarborough Children’s Cancer Program. In August of 2018, Jodie relocated to Orlando and reached out to Flashes to see how she could continue to help in the area. She has now joined Nancy as co-Director of the Orlando Chapter.

Jodie brings a background or public and community service, a flight paramedic, athlete, VP of the non-profit ECHOHeliops, she also works for Orlando Health, and is very active in the Orange County Community.

Hands on head

The children often request to be photographed with special friends – in this case a stuffed bunny. Children are also photographed with parents, siblings, hospital staff and even fellow patients. This sweet image was captured at All Children's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
