Flashes of Hope warms little feet

December 17, 2012  |  Posted by Samantha Tatro

Hundreds of kids in the hospital over Christmas will have warm feet, thanks to the warm hearts of 200 children and parents who donated slippers to kids at Boston Children’s Hospital yesterday.

Flashes of Hope’s first Boston fundraiser, Little Cup of Hope, mixed holiday fun with generosity. Attendees decorated cookies and sang at the festive fundraiser at the Wellesley Country Club.

“It’s a way for kids to have fun and understand more about giving back during the holidays,” said Sarah Williams, co-founder of the event. “The energy, thought and detail that everyone was able to bring is amazing.”

The charity was founded by Allison Clark, after one of her children was diagnosed with leukemia. Flashes of Hope is dedicated to creating uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer.
