Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation and Flashes of Hope held a photoshoot with children fighting cancer at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Washington Wizards veteran guard Garrett Temple went room to room sharing laughs and taking pictures with the patients and their families.
“My nieces and nephews mean the world to me. With them being around the same age as these amazing children, participating in this event truly meant a lot to me,” said Temple.
"Garrett was great with the kids, who were all so excited to meet him and take photos with him. Flashes of Hope is so thankful to Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation for its generous support. We hope to continue to photograph all the strong and brave children battling cancer as we raise money to help find a cure," said Karen Post, Washington, D.C., Flashes of Hope chapter director.
Flashes of Hope is a nonprofit organization that changes the way children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses see themselves through the gift of photography and raises money for pediatric cancer research. MSE Foundation currently helps fund the Flashes of Hope chapters in Washington, D.C., as well as Northern Virginia.
